When Tomorrow Comes

There have been times when I thought I wouldn’t make it. Times when I thought I didn’t have enough strength left within me to take whatever I was going through any longer. Times when life didn’t seem fair. Times when I wanted to throw in the towel, walk out of the door, and give up. Times when all I could do was cry out to my Heavenly Father, “Help me! I need you!”

But as I reflect, it was during the difficult times that God showed me His compassion and wisdom. Although I could not physically see His presence, He dried every one of my tears with the warmth of His Holy Spirit. He listened with open ears when no one else seemed to care or understand. And, He would always ask me the same question, “If you give up now, what will you do when tomorrow comes?”

My heartfelt message is simple:

Some days will be filled with clear skies and sunshine. And, some days will be filled with heavy storms and rain. But whether your sky is filled with white or gray clouds, stay focused on your vision … dream … purpose … plan. Don’t give up on what God has called you to do. When times become difficult ask yourself, “If I give up now, what will I do when tomorrow comes?” For tomorrow may be just as difficult as today.

    1. There is a piece called “Twenty-One Love Notes” in my book. It discusses 21 important relationship lessons that I learned throughout the years. I knew my husband was the right one because his actions were the same as his words.

  1. After a storm, comes calm. After night , day comes . After Autumn and winter , there will be spring and summer. After sadness , joy arrives. Despite some difficulties , divine blessings and mercy are more abundant than the very large universe.

  2. Excellent. I can relate to this in my work life due to a change of bosses and role. Having been at the same company for over 30 years I know things will resolve themselves but there are times when I want throw the towel in.
